The Institute is managed by Sri Adichunchanagiri Shikshana Trust which was originated in the year 1974 by Byravaikya Jagadguru Padmabhushan Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji and successfully governed by his successor Jagadguru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Maha Swamiji and Sri Sri Mangalanatha Swamiji. In the year 1945, a divine soul was born to Sri Chikkalinge Gowda and Smt. Boramma as Gangadharaiah had five siblings - two brothers and three sisters. Sri Gangadharaiah completed his graduation in diploma Science from Government Arts & Science College, Bengaluru. Sri Gangadharaiah completed his graduation in diploma Science from Government Arts & Science College, Bengaluru. Designated by God to serve the people in a spiritual way Sri Gangadharaiah was ordained into sannyasa at the young age of nineteen and renamed Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji. Enlightened at a young age his holiness Sri Balagangadharanatha Swamiji spent his initial years learning Vedas and other sacred texts under the schooling of his Guru Sri Ramanandanatha Swamigalu. Sri Sri Sri Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamigalu took over holy lineage as the 71st Pontiff of the ancient Natha Center of Worship, Sri Adichunchanagiri Matt, on 24 September 1974 at the age of 30 by following the ‘Guru-Shishya’ parampara. He was of the line of Sri Bhakthanatha Swamigalu, Sri Chandrashekaranatha Swamigalu, and Sri Ramanandanatha Swamigalu of the ‘Natha Pantha’.

The vision of Byravaikya Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Maha Swamiji made Sri Adichunchanagiri Matt witness wide-ranging progress in projects like Adhyathmika (Spirituality), Anna (Free Food), Akshara (Knowledge), Arogya (Health), Ashraya (Shelter), Anukampa (Helping Hands), Aranya (Afforestation), Akalu (Cattle Protection).

 

Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji

A small village in Gubbi Taluk of Tumkur District bestowed the 72^nd  scholarly Pontiff to Adichunchanagiri Mahasamsthana Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji. Completing his early schooling Mahaswamiji joined Government Polytechnic college in Tumkur and secured 7th Rank for the State in Diploma. Swamiji’s thrive for education made him pursue his graduation in Civil Engineering from the National Institute of Engineering, Mysore, and M.Tech in Structural Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.

Immensely influenced by the preaching and teaching of Swami Ramakrishna Paramahamsa and Swami Vivekananda, and having a mindset on spiritual things filled with holy desires and purposes, Mahaswamiji volunteered for teaching at the blind school in Archakanahalli, Ramanagar district. Mahaswamiji got enlightened that serving visually challenged children is the need of the hour than pursuing research. Later Mahaswamiji took hermit life in 1998 and underwent training in traditional knowledge systems like Samskrutam,    and the Advaitha in the school of Philosophy postulated by Adiguru Sri Shankaracharya. Being Guru Mahaswamiji is mastering his knowledge by listening to the discourses on Vedas and other shastras as a student. Having high technical educational knowledge Mahaswamiji has computerized all the Matt activities and configured them as tech-friendly.

Adherence to Raja yoga, the path advocated by Swami Vivekananda, Mahaswamiji has convened the Foundation for Unity of Religious and Enlightened Citizens (FUREC) and is actively associated with the Hindu Dharma Acharya Sabha, the confederation of Indian Spiritual movement activities. His writings reflect his revolutionary thoughts of uniting all the different efforts of the Adichunchangiri Matt towards reviving Sanatana Hindu Dharma and uprooting all the myths and superstitious beliefs rooted in the Society. Mahaswamiji also has a liking for literary works and writings of the well-known Jnana Peetha Awardee Rashtrakavi Kuvempu.  His love for nature has resulted in the fixing of Flora and Fauna in all organizations of Matt.

Sri Sri Mangalanatha Swamiji

The year 2005 saw the rise of another great Humanist the third force of Sri Adichunchanagiri Matt, Poojya Sri Sri Mangalanatha Swamiji who has taken Sanyasatva in the same year with the blessings of his Guru Sri Sri Sri Dr. Balagangadharanatha Mahaswamiji.  Swamiji has studied Post-graduation in subjects like Advaitha Vedanta, Veda, Sanskrit, and Agama. Swamiji has served Sri Adichunchanagiri Matt for more than 34 years for the upliftment of mankind in the field of Education, Social Service by ingraining Spiritual and Moral values.

Chickballapur Shakha Matt got the noblest chair in the year 2010 when Swamiji was given the responsibility also has been appointed as the Secretary of BGS Educational Institutions, Chickballapur Branch by Sri Sri Sri Dr. Nirmalanandanatha Mahaswamiji.

Great Souls bring great changes, under Swamiji’s government Sri Adichunchanagiri Shakha Matt, Chickballapur roused its activities of social service in Chickballapur, Tumkur, and Kolar Districts. Swamiji’s scholarly discourses blended with knowledge of Sanskrit, Kannada, and other languages are well-received. As a management representative, Swamiji holds a key role in the overall governance of the Institution & articulates long-term policies by the Management.

Prof. Prof. Dr. G T Raju – ME, Ph.D., LMISTE (Life Member of India Society for Technical Education) - is one among them and SJCIT has an efficient, resourceful, and professional leader and a role model for students. The principal is the one who sees all the department works at its best and is a must at each level of the hierarchy for effective and purposeful management. As regards the principal, Prof. Dr. G T Raju has over two and half decades of teaching and 10+ years of research experience and is the hub of the college management, better qualified, well-versed in his subject, better conversant, and is an up-to-date methodology of teaching.  With having better updates on the developments in the field of administration Prof. Dr. G T Raju implements the same in his college for institutional effectiveness. Being proficient in human relationships Prof. Dr. G T Raju eases parent-principal correspondence and is an encyclopedia to his students.

Prof. Prof. Dr. G T Raju was felicitated with the Rajiv Gandhi Gold Medal Award for Outstanding Individual Achievement in 2015 and has published 52 papers in International Journals and conferences. He organized 24 workshops/FDP/conferences & delivered 24 invited talks. Prof. Dr. G T Raju has also received 21 lakhs of research grants from AICTE and VTU. His research interests are pattern recognition, web mining, image processing & information retrieval. He has held various positions at the university and different esteem colleges.
