Govindaraju Venkataramaiah’s journey is one of perseverance, hard work, and an unyielding desire to succeed. Born in 1968 at Vani Vilas Hospital in Bangalore, he grew up in a large, close-knit family. His parents, Venkataramiah and Revamma, raised him along with his four sisters and two brothers in Narasipura, a farming village.

Though he began his education, attending school until the 10th standard, he faced challenges with English-medium instruction, which led him to discontinue his studies. This decision marked the beginning of a remarkable life of labour, struggle, and eventual triumph.

Early Life and Struggles

Growing up in a farmer’s household instilled in Govindaraju a strong work ethic from an early age. When his family moved to Bangalore, he faced difficulties adjusting to the English-speaking educational system, which significantly impacted his academic progress.

With limited opportunities to continue his formal education, he decided to find work to support himself and his family.

At a young age, Govindaraju took on jobs as a casual labourer in various industries, earning a meagre 12 rupees per day. Despite the long hours and physical demands of the work, he remained focused and determined. He knew that this was only a stepping stone to something bigger.

His vision for the future started to take shape during these early years as he observed the economic dynamics of the bustling city.

The First Step Towards Entrepreneurship

In 1989, after saving diligently from his modest earnings, Govindaraju took a significant leap. He purchased an auto rickshaw for 41,500 rupees. For the next three years, he drove the auto, working long hours to transport passengers across Bangalore. This period allowed him to familiarize himself with the city's roads, its people, and the growing demand for transportation services. It was here that Govindaraju's entrepreneurial spirit began to flourish.

By 1993, with three years of experience behind him, he upgraded his vehicle to a pre-loved Ambassador car. The Ambassador, once an iconic car on Indian roads, symbolized his progress. Just a year later, in 1994, he acquired a Contessa, a luxury car that was highly sought after at the time. His fleet was slowly growing, and with it, his ambitions.

The Shift to Car Rental Services

In 1998, Govindaraju realized that the transportation industry was evolving and saw an opportunity to expand his business beyond driving. However, the path ahead was not easy. Lacking substantial capital to establish his own travel business, he decided to join Sky Link Travels, a company that specialized in booking air tickets. It was through this association that he gained invaluable experience in managing clients and learned the intricacies of running a travel service

While working at Sky Link Travels, Govindaraju's dedication and hard work caught the attention of the company’s owners. Impressed by his relentless drive and business acumen, they partnered with him to start **Car Mobile**, a car rental service on Bangalore's Kempegowda Road. Car Mobile began operations in 1998 with just two cars, a modest beginning but one that would lay the foundation for a larger venture.

The Birth of New Car Mobile

After nearly a decade of success with Car Mobile, Govindaraju made a bold decision. In 2007, he stepped away from the partnership to start his own company, **New Car Mobile**, under a single proprietorship. With limited resources but vast experience, he rebuilt the business from scratch. Over time, New Car Mobile grew significantly, serving between 50 to 69 corporate clients, a testament to his dedication and keen understanding of client needs.

Today, Govindaraju’s business boasts a fleet of 50 to 60 cars, catering to a wide range of clientele. The company also operates 45 buses and has expanded its car rental services to Goa, marking its presence in multiple markets. What started as a one-man operation driving an auto rickshaw in Bangalore has transformed into a thriving enterprise, offering comprehensive transportation solutions to major corporate clients.

Family Support and Future Generations

While Govindaraju Venkataramaiah is the driving force behind New Car Mobile, his family has been a crucial source of support throughout his journey. His wife, Anjali, plays an active role in the business, helping him manage office operations. Their two daughters are also poised to continue the family’s legacy. Their elder daughter, Tanmayi Raj, is awaiting the results of her BA LLB graduation, while their younger daughter, Shreeya Raj, is pursuing her PUC studies.

Govindaraju’s journey from being a farmer's son to a successful entrepreneur is marked by resilience, adaptability, and a passion for self-improvement. His ability to overcome early struggles, including the challenge of limited education and financial constraints, demonstrates his resourcefulness and tenacity.

A Story of Inspiration

Govindaraju Venkataramaiah’s life story is not just a personal success but also a powerful narrative of how determination, hard work, and the courage to take risks can turn dreams into reality. His transition from a casual labourer to the owner of a multi-vehicle rental service is inspiring, especially for those who come from humble beginnings and dream of achieving something greater.

As New Car Mobile continues to expand and diversify, Govindaraju’s story serves as a reminder that no matter how challenging the circumstances, the will to succeed can forge a path to success. His life stands as a testament to the power of perseverance, the importance of family support, and the potential for growth when opportunity meets preparation.
