Finger Millet is called Ragi (in Kannada, Telugu and Hindi), also Mandua/Mangal in Hindi, Kodra (Himachal Pradesh), Mandia (Oriya), Taidalu (in Telangana region), and Kezhvaragu (in Tamil Nadu). It is also known as Popped Ragi Flour or Roasted Ragi Powder.

The foundations for Indira Foods were laid in 1991 by Smt. Indira in the garage of her home in Bangalore. A decade of hard work, sweat, and toil with a steely determination took the enterprise into a large-scale dedicated production facility.

Indira's Ragi Huri Hittu Special can be used to make Hot Ragi Malt and Cold Ragi Buttermilk, Ragi Smoothie, Ragi Porridges, Pre-and-Post Work-Out Protein Drink, and also Laddoos, Barfis, etc. Mix Indira's Ragi Hurri Hittu with hot milk, and drink it as a Malt early in the mornings and evenings. Or mix it with buttermilk, and drink it as a sweet Cooler during hot summers. You can use this to make sweet porridges. You can also make laddoos, barfis, and cookies as well with it.

All Indira Foods products are manufactured out of two state-of-the-art facilities in Yelachenahalli and Jigani in the outskirts of Bangalore. A new 1.2 lakh sq. ft. manufacturing facility is coming up in Malavalli taluk in Karnataka’s Mandy District.
