1956 –A thought sprouted to spread the finest coffee aroma to the world made Shri Late S L N Sathappa Chettiar purchase 1000 acres of the coffee plantation from the Rajah of Chettinad, thereby SLN Group came into existence.Way back in decades a tiny coffee seed called Shri Late S L N Sathappa knew that to grow like a mighty tree it needed to be dropped in dirt, covered in darkness, and struggle to reach the light and believe in tomorrow. Present-day Late S L N Sathappa’s heir - Mr. N Sathappan and Mr. N Vishwanathanare the two mighty branches of the tree.
Since SLN Group provided prime grade fine coffee having quality and quantity met it became in particular choice of customers across the world.To meet the worldwide demand SLN Group enhanced its capacity by adding 100 acres of plantation in 1973, and another 200 acres in 2003. In 1997 SLN Group started the business of trading in green coffee in a small way which made them set up an export facility in the name of SLN Exports in the very next year. To provide authentic coffee to customers SLN Group established a Curing Facility with a capacity of 20,000 MT in the year 2000, and a no-compromise quality made them open a Coffee Processing Unit.
