However, his experience there was not what he had anticipated. Despite the initial promise during the interview, the package he received fell short of expectations. After seven months of working in a corporate environment, Sagar made a pivotal decision to chart his own path. Fueled by ambition and a desire to make a mark in the construction industry, he founded Nivas Construction in 2023.

Starting a construction company from scratch came with its challenges, particularly gaining recognition and acceptance in an industry often dominated by established players. Initially, Sagar faced difficulties in securing membership in construction associations, as many were hesitant to welcome a newcomer. However, Sagar’s determination and commitment quickly paid off. Within just a year of launching Nivas Construction, the company had secured 25 projects, of which five have been successfully completed. Sagar expanded his operations by opening a new branch in Hassan, with plans to establish another branch in Shimoga. Currently, the company employs five core team members, managing a workforce of over 200 skilled labourers. He aims to expand Nivas Construction to various cities, including Mysuru and Bangalore, bringing his innovative construction solutions to a wider audience.
