Amrut S Hiranya was born into  an affluent business/trading family, His Grand Father started a provision stores in City market which has been in his family, though he was born with a silver spoon, he always wanted to make money to feed the street dogs near his school. He was born with a passion for dogs, this resulted in him having to shift many schools. Till 7^th standard he studied in ICSE syllabus and 8^th standard in CBSE and later shifting to state board syllabus. He was always thinking about dogs and there were days that he bunked schools to feed and care for the street dogs.

After his graduation in Engineering his brother who was structural engineer in USA advised him to pursue his education to study dogs if he was so passionate about the dogs and explained to him that it was a big thing in countries like USA and as result he enrolled in the excellent Canine Psychology and Behavior Course by the Animal Sciences Department at UNITEC , New Zealand. He is one and only to have done this course in the country and his family is very proud of his achievement. In fact he considers Mr. Mick Martin ,his professor in New Zealand as second father as he taught him everything about dogs. During his student days in New Zealand he had to undergo many hardship and he says that he has worked as a cook, priest and has even washed vessels there and felt humiliated on many circumstances but despite many hardships he still felt happy when an unknown dog came and licked his hand which inspired him and strengthened his resolve to work for his canine friends.  He was offered a job in the police department of Australia after his completion of the degree along with the offer of citizenship but when he contacted his father about the same he told him to return to the motherland and do something for the dogs of the country and pursue his passion and so Amrut Hiranya returned to India to become the Dog Guru aka The Dog Whisperer.

After coming back he started his dog school in their estate near Kengeri and started training the dogs in the year 2009. He had his ups and downs during this period when people did not understand his passion for dogs and he was rejected many times as a prospective groom, that's when his wife, Bhavya K J walked into his life and he took her to his Mastiff and told her that she would be his wife only if the dog accepted her and as it turned out she was adored by his dog and soon became his wife, has turned out to be one of his strength in his work for the canine friends along with their four dogs and two children at home.

Till date he has trained more than 4000 dogs and he trains the new dogs with the help of the old ones. He not only trains them in their farm but the training is also done online and this has been done exclusively during the Pandemic situation.

Training Methodology

Till date he has been able to train many dogs for Karnataka Police and For BSF as well. He has been able to save more than 300 dogs with behavioral disorders from being euthanized by training and rehabilitating them. Amrut and his team employ the latest techniques of positive reinforcement and canine psychology techniques to train the dogs and pups. They have trained all breeds of dogs. Teaching or training are done according to the requirement. Online training for home dogs may require 10 sessions and may cost around 10,000 rupees.

Their trained dog squads i.e Dogs with their handlers have been employed in many private industries, mines and properties . He believes that no thief or Burgler dare to enter the premises where there are dogs guarding them and they are the best kind of security anyone can have instead of having just CCTV and other safety measures. Besides from being serving in the police and narcotics departments his trained dogs have also acted in few movies  and Amrut is quite proud of his canine friends achievements and has won many laurels for his hard work and is ISO 9001:2015 certified.
