Problems are the undesirable, yet integral part that either fuels or drains the human spirit. People either fall to them, becoming an unfortunate victim in the process or they fight back and triumph over these difficulties. History has narrated to us tales of personalities overcoming unfortunate circumstances and troubles while building their empire.

Chidanand S.P. is one such personality, with him overcoming initial hardship in work while establishing his company ‘Spoorthy Developers’, located in Tumkur and Bangalore. His first real estate office, SRS Enterprises, was constructed for him when he was 19 years by his father, who was a contractor. Chidanand was also entrusted the responsibility of selling eight sites, which turned out to be a nightmare in the initial year. While customers did approach him requesting for a house, godown or site, reasons like the distance between the plot and town barred him from achieving initial success.

Chidananda fell into depression, but his mother’s support rejuvenated him and he decided to try running a chicken kebab stall. But the location’s management refused due to the product being meat-based, which almost crushed him. But he continued working and became a labor contractor for two buildings in his first year. He also became a material contractor, and would visit real estate offices to learn the nuances and grasp the methodologies and patterns applied by these agents for a successful sale.

Soon, by the year 1991, he was able to sell off the eight sites along with six other sites that were sold to him by a man named Ramayya. Chidanand purchased 2 acres of land for himself by 1991 and again sold it to a layout developer for INR 2, 70, 000. This was a turning point, and 1997 was the year his first project was purchased by members of the Gowda Saraswat Brahmin (GSB) community, but it wouldn’t be until 2005 that it would be aptly named as ‘Spoorthy Developers.

By 2011, Chidanand had a new office building constructed and have currently employed a staff of 11 people. As of today, Spoorthy Developers remain successful, having sold over 50 projects and helping a clientele of over 2000 customers.  They offer services such as building planning, renovations, and even free consultation regarding flat selection. The 2016 Demonetization allowed Chidanand to sell villas, which generated even more wealth.

Tumkur has seen an increase in the appearance of villas, and Spoorthy Developers have played a huge role in their manifestation.
