Glimpse of IIB - Sir M Visveswaraya Memorial Awards -2024

The 30th edition of the award ceremony presented by the prestigious magazine "Icons of Indian Business Magazine", which is the leading business magazine of the state, was held with great fanfare at t JP Park Fortune Celestial Hotel, Gandhinagar, Bangalore.

 

On Sunday evening on 20-10-2024, despite the rainy weather in Bengaluru, the awardees arrived from different places of the state.

 

The main objective of ‘ Icons of Indian Business magazine ‘ is to introduce the biographies of people working in the small-scale industrial sector of the country in the magazine and to honour selected businessmen with awards.

 Then on 20-10-2024, the 30th edition award program of IIB Magazine was held in grand style. This time the achievers were honored with the Bharat Ratna Sir M Visvesvaraya Memorial Award -2024. Sir M Visvesvaraya is a unique, renowned civil engineer in this country. His visionary projects are still famous in the world today. His contribution to the social and scientific field can never be forgotten. Achievers from different parts of the state had come to receive the award given in memory of such a great person.

 

The program started with a wonderful presentation by veteran presenter Divya Alur. Renowned singer Vinay entertained everyone by singing old melody songs. The live painting of the famous painter, artist Mr. Anil caught the attention of the audience. Everyone applauded the ingenuity of Sir M Visvesvaraya's painting in reverse shape.

Dr Venugopal, retired principal of UVCE, Bangalore and Bangalore University Vice-Chancellor, who was present as the chief guest in his inspirational speech, told us many ideas about Sir M Visvesvaraya. The words of Dr.Venugopal, who studied as a student at UVCE Bangalore founded by Visvesvaraya and retired as Principal of the same college, were very inspiring.

 

Another Chief Guest, DCP, H . Manjunath Babu, KSPS  spoke and expressed his appreciation for the purpose of the magazine and congratulated the award winners.
