Meghana Toolings Private Limited was started by Chidanand Re in 2015 and is one of the largest manufacturers and suppliers of cutting tools for the manufacturing and industrial sectors. Meghana Toolings fabricate high-precision tool bits and blades. They are supplying their Products throughout India under the brand name Meghana Toolings and Shrusha Tooling Solutions Private Limited is the sister company of it. Chidanand Re is the founder of "Meghana Solutions", he started Meghana Toolings in the year 2015 and Shrusha Toolings Solutions in the year 2017, and both companies have shown advancement and increase in production since the time they were started.

Chidanand Re completed his schooling in Tumkuru and after his 10th Standard, he joined JOC (Job Oriented Course) in a Govt. College. With his JOC certificate and with just ₹500, Chidanand moved to Bommasandra, Bangalore in 2005.

We asked Chidanand about the initial challenges he faced while starting a career in Bangalore, he said “Initially between the years of 2005 to 2014, I have done a lot of odd jobs, I have worked in a Factory as a Machine Operator, as a Tailor in a Garment’s Factory and also as an Auto driver. I remember when I was working for a factory as a full-time employee, I used ride auto as a part-time job just to earn some extra cash, but surprisingly my full-time job paid me ₹12,000, whereas I earned roughly between ₹10,000 to ₹15,000 a month just with 4hrs of riding autos and that went into savings, The same savings helped me get started with Meghana Toolings. I would definitely think that the initial years were difficult but I believe with a positive mindset anyone can achieve anything”

We were curious to learn more about how Chidanand started Meghana Toolings, for which he says “I consider Ravindra S as my Mentor, I can even say that he is my God Father. When I started the company I needed the machines to get the work done and that’s where Ravindra Sir came into the picture, One day I went to him looking to buy a second hand saw blade machine but to my surprise, he accepted my bare minimum down payment and sold me a brand new machine and asked me to clear the rest of the due amount in the coming months, Without his help and guidance, it would be difficult for me to start the business”

When we asked Chidanand about his factories’ work culture and about his support system he said “I remember when I was working in the factories, we were never provided any food or health benefits but in our factory, I make sure all the employees are reimbursed for their food and we even have a canteen at the factory. All the employees along with providing insurance, also provide financial support for their kids’ education. About my support system, I owe it all to my wife; my wife is my biggest supporter and has been patient and understanding throughout the process. She is also one of the board of directors of the company and remains a key active member for taking the company’s decisions and is equally responsible for its directions”

We asked him about his future plans he said “I am planning to scale the existing companies, that is Meghana Toolings and Shrusha Toolings, by tapping into new market areas. A few months ago, looking at all the petrol expenses of all my employees, I decided to buy a few electric bikes for office use, which saved us tons of money, that’s when I decided to take up the dealership for Okinawa, it’s an e-bike company and It’s no secret that sustainable and clean energy is the future. We already have 3 showrooms which are surprisingly doing well and business seems to be booming”
