R.B. Dayanand: Sheltering Families with Excellent Property and Excellent Construction

India obtained its Independence from the British Empire on August 15th, 1947; however, the partition of Pakistan from India causeD riots nationwide. Numerous families were separated from each other, thousands to lakhs of people were slaughtered, and other such atrocities were committed. It was a chaotic time to be alive and survive then, as even families, who were once healthy, now had to do hard labor merely to survive.

Even under those circumstances, in Karnataka, resided R.B. Dayanand, who was born on the 12^th of April, 1943 in the district of Hassan. After completing his schooling, R.B. Dayanand pursued Engineering and obtained his Bachelor’s in Civil from the University College of Engineering, Bangalore in 1967. That same year, he became a part of a teaching faculty in civil engineering at Hassan’s Malnad College of Engineering till 1982. During this time, he pursued and obtained a Master’s in Structural Engineering from the University College of Engineering in Bangalore in 1974.  

1982 saw the complete turnover of R.B.Dayanand’s career as he established Kalpashree Vaasthu Shelters at Hassan. He began as a Proprietor and Chief Consulting Civil and Structural Engineer. He also provides interior design services and eventually became a Town Planner and Valuer of Immovable Properties. Over his glorious career that spanned over five decades, R.B. Dayanand has also worked as a Chartered Civil Engineer, Structural Engineer, and Construction Engineer. He’s a member of the Registered Wealth Tax Valuer group under Action 34 AB of the Wealth Tax Act 1957, having been appointed as an approved valuer for numerous nationalized banks and dept. of income and wealth taxes.

Under R.B. Dayanand’s wonderful vision and insightful guidance, Kalpashree Vaastu Shelters has been able to successfully construct over 5000 houses. It has also remained successful with handling commercial projects, as it has completed three cinema halls, three kalyana mantapas and conventional halls, and two super specialty hospitals. In addition, it has also supervised and organized the construction and finishing of three petrol bunks while constructing numerous roads and bridges. R.B. Dayanand also accomplished his M.B.A. from the National Institute of Business Management (NIBM), Chennai in 2018.

 

In spite of being a busy man with a busy schedule, R.B. Dayanand has been inducted into several technical organizations due to his immense interest in engineering. Some of the reputed establishments include the Association of Consulting Civil Engineers (Bangalore), Indian Concrete Institute (Chennai), Institution of Structural Engineers (Calcutta), and American Society of Civil Engineers (USA).

R.B.Dayanand has the support of his three sons, who are all successful in their respective fields. H.D. Kiran is an industrialist, with the other son H.D. Vedaprasad pursuing architecture, and his third son, H.D. Chetan, who is a software engineer settled in the USA. Even at the ripe young age of 80, R.B.Dayanand still runs Kalpashree Vaastu Shelters, delivering perfection and receiving success in return.
