The success story of the man leading the company

Shahaab, Managing Director of Proconex was fascinated with technology at a very young age and found himself repairing things like transistors and radios while also developing a great curiosity about how machines work which led him to pursue mechanical engineering. Shahaab has completed his AMIE(Associate Member of the Institution of Engineers) degree in mechanical engineering  from Nadgir Polytechnic based in Rajajinagar, Bangalore and later completed his (MBA) Master of Business Administration from NIBM Global.

Starting his career as a sales executive for Eureka Forbes for one year, Shahaab later worked for a company that was involved in the sales of instant geysers as Sales Executive, then as a Sales Manager, Team Leader and other major roles in the field of marketing for four years.

Shahaab then started his own manufacturing unit of instant geysers and was highly successful in the business. He used the revenue generated from the instant geysers business and started a company called Global Auto Systems that was involved in the manufacturing and distribution of autogas and emerged as one of the top sellers of autogas kit of Tartarini and Hovel Auto Gas in South India at that time. The Managing Director of Proconex has been a pet lover all his life, he ran a few aquarium shops in the city while also designing aquariums which earned him many awards for the design.

Later, a US-based company involved in the supply and repair of turbine spares offered Shahaab a job as a Sales Manager. Shahaab worked for the US-based Company for 1 year and 2 months before he went to Mumbai and worked for a company called IB commercials that was involved in the dismantling of INS Vikrant, as a Global Manager for one year. He rejoined the US-based Company and resumed his role as a Sales Manager, and subsequently as Director, Country In Charge, Head of Operations, and then as Managing Director. Working for the US-based company for 8 years, Shahaab desired to start his own turbine control spares and repairs company owing to his sheer magnitude of knowledge he had from marketing to the technical aspects of the business and after 27 years of experience, he joined Proconex founded in the year 2019 by his beloved wife Naveen Kumari.

Apart from turbine spares and repairs, Proconex also deals with all industrial and automation spares such as Modules, cards, Power supplies, and more, of brands such as GE, Siemens, Honeywell, Allen Bradley, and more, of all models while also supplying control and instrumentation spares such as detectors, temperature & pressure measuring devices, switches and more for all types and models catering to all major industries like power generation, refineries, steel plants and all kinds of processing and automation plants.
