Anupriya Nagar's Success Story: From 21-Year-Old London Student to Successful Producer.
It's hard to predict when and how luck will change someone's life in the film industry. Anupriya Nagar, a 21-year-old London student who was not well-known until yesterday, is now recognised as a successful producer who has collected more than ₹150 crore from a film made with a budget of ₹2 crore.
The film 'Hanuman Ansh' changed the direction of her life. An unexpected journey from London to India: Anupriya Nagar, who was studying Economics at the University of Bath in London, was studying the lives of tech giants Steve Jobs and Mark Zuckerberg for a college project. During this time, she came to know that before their success, both of them had visited the Kainchidham Ashram near Nainital, India, and sought blessings from spiritual guru Neem Karoli Baba. Anupriya wondered why it was necessary to learn about India's spiritual heritage through the lives of foreign practitioners.

Thus, she decided to come to India with the intention of introducing the Gen Z generation to this great spiritual personality. Anupriya, who had come to India with the intention of writing a book on Baba, came to know that director Dr Vishal Chaturvedi was planning to make a film on the life of Neem Karoli Baba called 'Hanuman Ansh' and was facing a financial crunch. Then Anupriya came forward to invest in the film and become a producer. Initial failure... then huge success.

Maharajji, who was once known as 'Neem Karoli Baba', was a great devotee of Hanuman. He passed away in 1973. The film 'Hanuman Ansh', based on his life, was a 'disaster' in the industry within the first week of its release. There was not much money to promote the film. Initially, it had only 355 shows, but on the eighth day, it had come down to just 29 shows. However, from here on, the story of the film changed. The audience who watched the film became the promoters of the film.
They started sharing their experiences about the film on social media, including WhatsApp. As a result, the number of audiences in front of the cinemas increased. The number of shows also increased. Thus, the film, which was initially heading for failure, became a huge success with the support of the audience and collected more than ₹150 crore, it is reported.
“I will give back to society” Anupriya Nagar’s answer to the question of what she will do with this money after such a huge success also attracted attention. “I am just a 21-year-old girl. What will I do with this much money? I will give it back to society. I will start a special foundation for the education and medical assistance of poor children,” she said. Anupriya said that she will continue to produce films based on Indian culture and Sanatan heritage in the future. A film that started with a budget of just ₹2 crore changed the life of a 21-year-old student. But the big twist in this story is not about money, but about how the audience can take a film from failure to success.
