Garrison Keillor, a noted American author and a man of numerous talents, once befittingly stated, ‘A book is a gift you can open again and again.” Books allow the readers to travel to an unknown land, engage in the joyous or tragic events mentioned, and connect with the characters. They have also been a major source for the material of most popular TV Shows/Movies like the Harry Potter series and GoT, and companies like Marvel and DC were formed around the creations of comic-book artists like Stan Lee.

The current age is witnessing the emergence of young and talented authors shaping the near future with their revolutionary works on numerous topics ranging from action and mystery to war and love. Sinchana Prabhakar, currently studying in 9th standard, is one such multi-talented author, who has only started her journey with her first work, ‘Let’s Love To Hate.” This book narrates a complicated, yet beautiful love story of two students, Alex and Sarah Jonas, showing the ups and downs they go through high school, wondering about the outcome of this interesting yet beautiful journey.

Sinchana was in eighth standard when she noticed several of her classmates deeply engaged in the books of Colleen Hoover, an American author whose novels fell into the New Adult and Young Adult contemporary romance categories and psychological thrillers. Curiosity got the better of her, and she eventually ended up enjoying her books as well. This sparked an interest in writing within her, and she wrote the first chapter for her eventual debut as a joke. However, her friends thought otherwise, as they were seriously impressed with her flow of thoughts and how they were penned down.

Her father’s encouragement and the positive push provided by her friends motivated Sinchana, and she soon completed the book. She eventually got the book published and released it at the 21st Edition of Industry and Business Leadership Awards event hosted by Icons of Indian Business at Taj Vivanta, Bangalore on the 3rd of December, 2023. This moment was received with a standing ovation from the huge audience, with well-deserved heaps of praise from the guests for such an accomplishment.

Sinchana is currently working on her second book, which describes Arora, a girl and her brother, who was born in an orphanage, where she would spend her time with another orphan. However, they would separate, and later meet up as they grow older. Along with writing, Sinchana also displays a keen interest in dancing and regularly practices it. She credits her parents and friends for encouraging her pursuit of writing. We at Icons of Indian Business wish her the best in her future endeavors and hope she attains success at each stage.
