 “If you really look closely, most overnight successes took a long time,” said Steve Jobs, the famous co-founder of Apple Inc. This quote definitely applies to Ramesh Khoude, the co-founder of Hardee Flexipack, a research company started in 2011 at Bangalore that specializes in the manufacturing of machinery for food processing and packaging.

Originally from the district of Bidar in Karnataka, Ramesh Khoude began his career as an apprentice for Kirloskar. Then he worked as an assembly fitter for Bharat Fritz Werner (BWF) which is an MNC. His friend convinced him to change his occupation from being an assembly fitter to joining the service field for more opportunities. Around that time, he applied for a company in Pune and got selected for that role. There, he climbed up the industry ladder from an assembly fitter to being in-charge of the plant.

His partner, Arun, who worked as a production manager introduced and ushered him into the field of food processing and packaging. Together, they run Hardee Flexipack with a team of 26 people of various backgrounds from B.E. to Diploma graduates. Initially beginning with food powder, they gradually expanded their operations to other products like coffee, dry fruits, wheat flour, pickles, and snacks. While his partner looks after the account, production, and design parts, Ramesh ensures the marketing and service team functions properly.

With the food industry in mind, Ramesh and his partner ensures the food processing and packaging are executed with perfection. Every procedure involved in the production of machinery, from design concept and fabrication to production are all executed in-house. The company produces equipment of three types: manual, semi-automatic, and automatic. They also offer to upgrade the machinery from semi-automatic to fully automatic.

The advantage of purchasing machinery from Hardee Flexipack is the machines are custom-built in accordance to the customer’s wishes, and they minimize power consumption to a huge extent. Hardee Flexipack holds the distinction of being the second company in India to fully perfect the coffee degassing valve applicator by successfully blocking any moisture from entering the coffee seeds.

Ramesh Khoude’s dedication to his field has earned customers from Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, and Tamil Nadu. Hardee Flexipack has even exported its products to UAE and Sri Lankan-based companies. With the awareness on the fact that most people are not willing to wait for a long period of time to receive their machinery, the company have outlined future plans that involve mass-producing machineries within a short time period while ensuring excellent quality, performance, and service backup.
