The traditional Perfume manufacturers of India are popular in Kannauj, which is known as “The Perfume Capital of India”. It has been the Perfume town for number of years. Oriental Perfumes and Exports are the largest manufacturer and exporter of Perfumes, essential oils and Attars.

The company has the longest tradition for almost 130 years under the ownership of Devi Prasad Sunder Lal Khattri. It was originally started in the year 1870 in producing the purest quality of products to its customers. The Oriental Perfumes started trading in the year 1993, since then the company become the known name in manufacturing and exporting of Attars, essential oils, floral water, absolute oil and other compounds used for producing perfumes.

The perfumes are made from flowers and other natural substances. Most of the ingredients which are used in the production of Perfumes are seasonal and can be derived only during that period.

Products

Essential Oils are made from steam distillation process to extract the odour of the plant. They can be used for religious, spiritual, health and cosmetic purposes. Each oil is unique and comes from the natural substances. Some the essential oils are almond oil, ajwain oil, apricot oil, calamus oil, cardamom oil, cassia oil etc.

Absolute Oils are nothing but the concentrated aromatic oils. These types of oils are produced in low temperature to maintain the fragrance. Some flowers are too exquisite to undergo steam distillation process. Some of the absolute oils are amber oil, angelica oil, blue lotus oil, ruh chameli, ruh rose, white lotus oil and white tea oil.

Attar Oils has wide range of applications and usage. Mughal emperors and queens are too fond of attar oils which are extracted from sandal, musk, rose, camphor, saffron are used to extract natural fragrances. Some of the attar oils include Indian attar oil, rose attar oil and natural attar oils.

Floral water is the remaining water after the steam distillation process of essential oils. These oils are completely safe for skin and hair. Floral water refreshes the skin tone and breakouts. Some of the popular floral water is rose water, kewra water, chamomile water, linden blossom water, mogra water, orange blossom water and rosemary hydrosol water.

Kannauj Perfumes are more popular even from the mughal period; Akbar had a separate perfume department for his successors to maintain proper scented body in the presiding hot climatic conditions.
