One of the Tapped talents Ms. DIVYA GOKARNA – Proprietor, M/s. DIVA Trading Company and CEO - COMFYCUP.

A 28-year-old Ms Divya understood Women are the pioneers of a nation and are the key to the quality of life in the family she plays a variety of roles like wife, leader, administrator, and mother, and needs to be cared for and started M/s. Comfy Cup - a manufacturer of Women’s Menstrual Cup, in 2020. In the same year, Comfycup touched the hearts of 20000 plus women and is aiming to reach 50000 in the next few months

Ms.Divya thinks Women's empowerment means making them powerful and capable of deciding for themselves. Women have suffered a lot from the way society thinks about periods. Ms Divya demands that everyone needs change their mindset and assures women that gone are the days of secrecy and shame.

Ms DivyaGokarna explains Comfycup is a menstrual product which is a small, flexible funnel-shaped cup made of rubber or silicone that is inserted into your vagina to catch and collect period fluid. She also states the reason to select Comfycupis that it comes with a generous handful of benefits that traditional methods like clothes, pads, and tampons cannot offer and is a type of reusable feminine hygiene product

Comfycup collects and holds menstrual fluid for 12 hours and ComfyCups can retain more fluid than other methods, leading many women to use them as an eco-friendly alternative to traditional products. Comfycup stays in place by creating a seal between the cup and the vaginal wall. Once the cup is filled, simply empty, rinse, and reinsert for another 12 hours of leak-free protection.

Ms.Divya seems the education and freedom scenario is very regressive in rural India compared to Urban. Women are not allowed to pursue education, they have married off early and one of the reasons is their menstrual problems faced in school. Menstruation in India is a closed-off topic that results in many girls feeling ashamed. Menstrual taboos have made it difficult for many women to live comfortably. These social and cultural influences can negatively impact their health. As the times evolved, Ms.Divya realized their power, and there began the revolution for women's empowerment - Comfycup. Ms.Divya demands Education for girls must be made compulsory so that women can become literate to make a life for themselves.

Women-owned businesses enterprises M/s. DIVA Trading Company is playing a prominent role in society inspiring others and generating more employment opportunities. Ms. Divya is constantly working to provide women from rural communities with a sustainable source of income by developing skills in tailoring, their focus has been on uplifting their skills and her mission is to bring safe periods to those who need it most.

It is estimated that half of all women and girls living in developing countries cannot afford access to any type of period product, and are forced to use rags, paper, and sand to manage their periods and suffer from recurrent reproductive and urinary tract infections and are forced to miss out on school and work. Our mission is to bring safe periods to those who need them most. Ms. Divya believes that access to period care is a fundamental human right and that no one should ever have to miss out on work or school during their period.

M/s. Divya proudly admits they conducted 85+ interactive sessions all over Karnataka for girls and working women from all levels of society to educate them about Comfycup and distributed 350+ menstrual cups to those who cannot afford them.

When most of the menstrual cups are imported from other countries Ms.Divya started Comfycup anIndia-made, in other words, have walked towards “ATMA NIRBHAR BHARAT” and producing menstrual cups in India is their small step towards “VOKAL FOR LOCAL”. This gives a small number of people good employment and provides economic stability to a few families, which in turn helps the nation. A small unit of women started to produce Menstrual cups by the name “COMFYCUP” A project - by women and for women.

Ms.Divya is on a journey to change the way periods affect women's lives, bodies, and the environment. Her mission is always and will be to change attitudes in society about menstruation.
