She is an ideal woman who is providing computer education to thousands of students by establishing EdukareITES, Centre for Skill Development, Training and Placements, since 1990.

Rachana's path was not a bed of flowers. It was a hard path with stones and thorns. There is an interesting fact behind her achievements and success. 20 years ago, Rachana joined a company as a part-time employee for just Rs.6,000  salary and became the Managing Director of the same company. Her achievement is praiseworthy as she has taken the struggling organization to profit and given computer education to thousands of students and given them job opportunities.

Under various schemes of Central and State Governments, young boys and girls are trained on various courses at discounted rates. Besides, job fairs are organized by the organization itself and job opportunities are created.

From part time job to Managing Director

Rachana has risen step by step with immense hard work, determination and self-confidence. While studying in college she joined the IITH Computer Training Centre as a part-time employee at a salary of Rs.1,500 per month. Completed BSW degree from St Philomena's College.

Later, she joined a part-time job as a manager in a computer training centre for a monthly salary of Rs.6,000. Her efficiency, effectiveness and abilities at work were liked by the company head. At the same time, along with the job, she also got his MSW master degree.

As a MSW graduate, she got a well-paid HR manager position in a private company. While working there for some time, the company where Rachana was working earlier began to languish without proper management. The company which was in profit turned to losses. The owner decided to close the establishment. However, as a last ditch effort, Rachana met him and requested her to buy the company.

Rachana, who aspired to become an entrepreneur from childhood imbibed leadership qualities, took advantage of this opportunity. She bought the company, which was in heavy losses, for Rs. 5 lakhs. It was very difficult to raise a struggling organization. However, she was determined to take the organization forward without hesitation. She worked in private colleges and companies to raise funds for this. She used the money earned from this for the progress of the company. The institution, which was in financial distress, improved step by step due to Rachana's hard work and meticulous planning.

To grow the organization further, she took a loan of Rs. 10 lakh from the Pradhan MantriRojagarYojana and opened another branch of Edukare at Nanjanmalige. Branches have also been opened in Hoskote and Malur to impart computer education to poor rural students. Edukare branches are also opened in more taluks to provide computer education to poor and rural students at low fees.

As the Managing Director of the organization, she not only led Edukare further but also expanded the training capacity.
