As per researchandmarkets.com, India's whole pet care industry is estimated to exceed Rs 7,500 crore by the end of 2025-26. Emerging worldwide trends and increased disposable incomes are the primary drivers of this expansion. Because the lockdowns caused a sense of isolation and mental health concerns for many people, the pandemic increased pet adoptions. That was the time when pets were very significant. Another intriguing aspect was the extra time that people had when working from home. This simplified the process of caring for a new family member. A large set of new pet parents are GenZ and they are curious and want more credible information around raising a pet. This is the first generation looking at pet parenthood as a concept in itself and actively moving away from the previously popular idea of ‘pet ownership’. According to researchandmarkets.com, the overall pet care market in India is expected to cross Rs 7,500 crore by the end of the year 2025-26. They vary from these platforms in that they are a one-stop petcare portal that offers a wide range of pet goods as well as high-quality digital services like healthcare and online training. Their capacity to deliver credible knowledge and advice that is missing in the lives of new pet parents, that will enable their pet motherhood pleasurably and wholesome is our major differentiator. As it expands, the Indian market will undoubtedly see the introduction of more D2C companies ranging from nutritional meals to accessories and toys. Another projected development, as per Varun, is GenZ altering the perspective of this market as it wants companionship, resulting in a more than 15% increase in dog adoption. Finally, the processed food business is predicted to expand further due to two factors: existing pets continuing to grow and new pets being joined to the family. Supertails' online dog training services is one of the major offerings that distinguish the firm from others in this sector.
