Just Rs.40000/- Investments, Mr.Prdeep build a 22 Crore turnover Company- Sadguru Ayurveda Soaps

Mr. D S Pradeep started his journey in the soap industry after initial struggling days with many products and businesses. He comes from a good to do family of shopkeepers, his father was an agent for Medimix soaps so naturally, Mr. Pradeep was involved in the collection, and delivery of medimix soaps and had a fair knowledge of soap business at an young age of 15 years, but after family partition they had tough times due to very dull business and Mr. Pradeep started his own shop of repairing Mixer grinders and other electrical appliances. He came to Bangalore with Rupees 450 and purchased printed circuits to make emergency lights, after assembling these lights he sold them under his name tag. 

Series of struggle and failures;

After the initial struggle of doing and repairing emergency lights, he tried his hand at many businesses like sheep farm, Rabbit farm, Gruhalakshmi super market but could not find success, but never gave up in spite of many failures. His perseverance and hard work at last paid off with the soap business. And so Sadhguru soaps came into existence.

Initially, it was started as a handmade soap home industry with an investment of Rs 40,000/-, but after much R &D about the product, Mr Pradeep who had observed one of his aunts who regularly used Gramflour for washing her skin had a very good skin texture than others, this led him to develop a similar Gram flour soap with all the goodness of gram flour, this became a hit and so Sadguru soaps diverged into many other ayurvedic products. Their products are skin-friendly and have many benefits for maintaining good skin.

Sadguru Ayurvedic products:

There are many products like Aloe vera, Rakta chandana, Tulasi, soaps and Aloe vera shampoo, fast cone and Go Fast Mosquito repellents, Dhoop Like Sharanam sandal, jasmine, champaka, and rose. Their products are skin-friendly and they have maintained a very good quality with reasonable pricing. Recently they have introduced a Shyme range of products for ladies on women’s day and has plans of introducing many products under this shyme brand. The base used for all these soaps are very good vegetable oil, Almond oil, olive and many first grade quality oil besides glycerin and perfumes. There are many researchers in their lab to help them deliver these optimum products.

Not only in the quality but they have a unique marketing strategy wherein their products are packaged in pet jars unlike other soap bars and these are reusable and thereby help in the preservation of the environment. Currently, around 130 workers are working in their company and they wish to expand this number by expanding the company and thereby help in employment of local rural people, this is one of the aims of Mr Pradeep who is passionate about providing employment for the rural folks. these products are being supplied throughout Karnataka through various medical shops, grocery stores, Swadeshi stores, Ayurveda stores besides being supplied to neighboring states of Andhra, Tamilnadu and Kerala. They have plans of expanding it throughout India and to Abroad also.

Mr Pradeep and his family have not only dedicated themselves in the development of Sadhguru ayurveda , but have actively participated in social service also, they have helped the villagers in providing clean drinking water facilities, have adopted a local Government school and has appointed a singing teacher and supplied scouts and guides uniform to the students also. Through his success, Mr. Pradeep has shown to the world that hard work, dedication and perseverance always pay at the end, try, try until you succeed seems to be his motto.
