The Severe rice shortage during the 1930 II World War drove Yagna Narayana Maiya Father of our Hero Sadananda Maiya and founder of Mavalli Tiffen Room popularly known as MTR invent a suitable alternative to rice and black gram in idlies he replaced it with Semolina (Rava) and sour yoghurt as a result Rava idlyborned with this we can understand that the birthplace of Rava Idly is MTR.

Dr. Sadananda Maiya was born in 1949 at Parampalli Dakshina Kannada where a large number of South Indian cooks were produced.

Sadananda Maiya has done his primary level Education at South Canara. He Collegiate at prestigious.The National College Basavanagudi, Bengaluru one of the Finest colleges in Karnataka which under diamonds for transformed into polish is none other than BMS College of Engineering Bengaluru. Maiya joined BMs Engineering College and opt B E Electrical course and secured 2nd Rank in his B E Examination and bagged GoldMedal from university. He served as a treasurer from 1998-2007 and later he become Vice President from 2010-2013. During then tenure he worked effectively and efficiently toward the development of the Karnataka State Cricket Association.
