Vehaan Kirankumara, a young and determined entrepreneur, had always felt out of place in the corporate world. Despite being a graduate of Electronics and Communications Engineering from the Global Academy of Technology, he found no joy in the conventional job he held for a couple of years. Deep down, his heart yearned for something more fulfilling, something connected to his family's farming roots.

Growing up, Vehaan witnessed the hardships faced by farmers in the modern era. He understood that traditional inorganic farming methods were not profitable and pushed the younger generation away from their agricultural heritage. Determined to make a change, Vehaan set out on a journey to revolutionize farming practices and breathe new life into the agricultural sector.

Realizing that traditional crops offered minimal profits, Vehaan shifted his focus to "Future Crops." These were plants in high demand by the medical and cosmetics industries, such as aloe vera, stevia, and green papaya. Vehaan believed that by encouraging farmers to grow these crops, they could not only increase their income but also contribute to a sustainable future.

Vehaan's plan was simple yet ingenious. He would connect with farmers, educate them about the benefits of organic farming, and offer to buy their future crops at a fixed price. Additionally, he provided transport services for the harvested crops, eliminating additional expenses for the farmers.

The key selling point of these future crops was their longevity. With a lifespan of up to five years, these plants would provide a steady source of income every three to four months, ensuring the farmers' investments were returned within a year while generating profits for the next four years.

By offering a fixed price for the crops, Vehaan enabled farmers to make calculated decisions and plan their finances more effectively. This approach resonated well with the farmers, many of whom were unaware of the potential of organic farming. Slowly but steadily, Vehaan began to build a network of farmers, starting with those who owned smaller plots of land. The trust and goodwill he earned from these early adopters allowed him to expand his operations to larger farms.

While challenges were abundant, Vehaan persevered. His background in farming and his family's support were valuable assets. One of the major hurdles was the lack of laborers in the agricultural sector. Vehaan witnessed the struggle firsthand and recognized the need for integrated farming solutions. In addition to crops, he started working with livestock.

Vehaan Organicx began sourcing goats and sheep from other parts of the country, enabling farmers to have integrated farms with crops and livestock. Vehaan explained that local goats in Karnataka typically grew to a weight of only 25-30 kilos, while those from Rajasthan and Punjab could reach 70-100 kilos.

By introducing these larger and more profitable breeds, Vehaan aimed to maximize the farmers' earnings. After a ten-day observation period, only the healthy animals were transported. He ensured that the goats and sheep were transported safely, vaccinated, and medicated, guaranteeing their good health.

Expanding his vision, Vehaan also introduced cows that produced double to triple the amount of milk compared to local cows in Karnataka. Through these initiatives, Vehaan Organicx offered comprehensive solutions for farmers, transforming their livelihoods and enabling sustainable farming practices.

Vehaan firmly believed that businesses should be driven by solutions to real problems. His conviction and dedication eventually paid off. Despite initial doubts and skepticism, Vehaan Organicx emerged as a successful venture. Now, he plans to expand his business and market his innovative farming solutions to new areas in Bangalore.
