Happy moments witnessed at the Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar Memorial Awards ceremony

The 40th edition of the awards ceremony, presented by the state's prestigious business magazine, "Icons of Indian Business Magazine", was held with great significance and grandeur. "Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar Memorial Award-2026 was organised on Thursday, 27-08-2026. The program started at 7 pm at KASSIA Auditorium in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru. More than 52 achievers from various fields came from far-away places to receive the award in the crowded hall.

The performance of renowned artist  Anil, who hails from North Karnataka, surprised everyone. He painted the portrait of our favourite  "Rajarshi Nalwadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar" in the 'reverse' style and received appreciation. Icons of Indian Business Magazine's Chief Editor Srinivas Thimmegowda delivered a welcome speech and introduced the dignitaries. He explained the importance of the business magazine, which has been launched for entrepreneurs running small industries.

Dr Venugopal, Retired Vice Chancellor, Bangalore University, who arrived as the chief guest, spoke about the contributions of Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar to our state and shared some unknown information. Sir M. Visvesvaraya and Mysore Maharaja Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar are two sides of the same coin, and he gave a complete explanation of how these great personalities worked day and night to move towards the development of Mysore State. Then, Padma Shri awardee Dr Shubha Iyengar spoke and said that we should all follow the path shown by the Maharaja and work for the development of this country. He shared his heartfelt words that it is a great pleasure for great achievers to receive the award in the name of the pioneer of development, Rajarshi Nalvadi Krishnaraja Wodeyar and conveyed his best wishes to all the achievers receiving this award. Then, Dr Anjanappa, a renowned doctor, spoke inspiringly to everyone by giving advice on how a person should develop self-confidence, the importance of health and the way to achieve a long life. In his speech, he said that receiving the Mysore Maharaja's Memorial Award is a great achievement and a matter of pride in one's life.
