Ather Energy built its charging network, called Ather Grid, with a clear focus on convenience, speed, and scalability to support its electric scooter users and foster EV adoption in India. The network was launched with the intent to provide fast-charging stations—called Points—strategically located across key cities and routes to reduce range anxiety.
These Points offer fast charging speeds of up to 1.5 km of range per minute, enabling quick battery replenishments. The rollout began in Bengaluru, their home base, and expanded simultaneously to major metropolitan markets like Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, and Hyderabad by mid-2020, alongside opening "Ather Space" experience centres.

Total income for this quarter stood at ₹940.7 crore, driven by higher vehicle sales, software subscriptions, and charging services, with non-vehicle revenue contributing around 12% of the total. The company sold 65,595 units in this quarter, a 67% rise year-on-year, increasing its market share to 17.4%. Despite revenue growth, expenses also rose to ₹1,094.8 crore due primarily to higher material costs, marketing, and expansion activities. However, Ather Energy succeeded in reducing its net loss to ₹154.1 crore in Q2 FY26, down from ₹197.2 crore a year ago.

Ather Energy's electric scooter lineup in 2025 features primarily two main models with multiple variants tailored for different customer segments: Ather 450 Series: This includes the Ather 450X, 450S, and the premium 450 Apex. These scooters are known for their high performance, advanced technology, and smart features like a touchscreen dashboard, multiple ride modes, and fast charging.
The 450X offers up to around 161 km range (IDC), while the Apex variant includes advanced features like cruise control. Prices range roughly between ₹1.23 lakh to ₹1.85 lakh, depending on the variant. Ather Rizta: Launched as Ather’s family-oriented electric scooter, the Rizta has a new design focus with a longer seat and more storage. It comes in variants such as Rizta S and Rizta Z, with different battery options ranging from 2.9 kWh to 3.7 kWh packs, offering up to 159 km of range (IDC).
The Rizta aims at a slightly lower price segment, roughly ₹1.15 lakh to ₹1.56 lakh, and ground features like reverse mode, multiple ride modes, and auto hold for convenience. Additionally, Ather has unveiled its next-generation EL platform with a concept scooter called EL01 projected for 2026, intended as a versatile and cost-effective family scooter with new technologies like a direct drive motor.
