Dhanapal Yelatti: Overcoming Obstacles to Obtain Over-The-Top Success

Education is an essential aspect which can propel a human’s life and career towards prosperity. However, there are numerous people who have been unable to educate themselves due to reasons like lack of financial support, and yet they have bought a positive impact on their family and have contributed to society. Dhanapal Yelatti is one such personality who overcame his limited education to establish SIBT Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd., an agricultural and nursing company dedicated to helping farmers.

Dhanapal Yelatti was born in the year 1964 to Nanappa, his father and Chandravva, his mother. Completing his S.S.L.C. (10^th STD), he acquired the knowledge and practice necessary to become a tailor and worked as one for four years. During this period, he borrowed a loan of 9 lakh rupees and partially repaid it by selling two acres of his father’s five-acre plot for 2, 10, 000 rupees.  He also worked in a Pune-based company as a field worker.

Dhanapal then migrated to Bangalore and worked in National Chemical Industries for five years as an officer. He decided to work independently and established South India Bio-Tech as a partner and remained there for seven years till he was taken advantage of due to his lack of formal education.

The year 2012 saw Dhanpal work as a partner for Agriculture Lab and eventually establish SIBT Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd. in Belgaum. SIBT Chemicals India Pvt. Ltd. has a strong workforce of 60-70 hardworking employees that strive towards excellence with the end goal of helping out farmers yield better crop. Some of the prominent products they manufacture are Amino Acid Powder, Liquid Sulphur Fertilizer, Seaweed Granules, and Plant Growth Regulators.

He has worked in a nursery and has won numerous awards for his agricultural feats. He had been awarded ‘Krishi Pandit’ in 2011 for his development of various dals and grains with his overall agriculture. He was also bestowed with ‘Karnataka Ratna’ in 2013 by Karnataka Sankritika Academy at Bangalore, and has also conquered three categories in Krishi Mela Phala Pushpa Pradarsha 2014 at Dharwad.

Dhanapal Yelatti stands tall today as a man who overcame every obstacle and every disadvantage from education to wealth, and has established himself as a self-made hardworking man who strives to help farmers yield better results.
