Glimpses of 39th Edition Sir M Visvesvaraya Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award-2026 Ceremony

The 39th edition awards ceremony, presented by the state's prestigious Business Magazine "Icons of Indian Business Magazine," was held with great significance and grandeur. As usual, the program "Sir M Visvesvaraya Memorial Lifetime Achievement Award-2026" was held on Thursday, 30-04-2026. It was special that the award was presented to the achievers in a packed meeting at KASSIA Auditorium in Vijayanagar, Bengaluru.

Many achievers from faraway towns had come to receive the award. This time, two achievers had come from the state of Kerala to receive the award. The program started at 7 pm. Famous singer Vinay entertained everyone by singing old film songs with his melodious voice. The senior presenter, Mrs Divya Alur, enhanced the program's charm. She presented the introduction of the chief guests and the awardees very neatly.

The crowded meeting was greeted with applause as the chief guest arrived. Dr Venugopal, Former Vice Chancellor, Bangalore University and Former Principal, VTU Engineering college, Bangalore, who has studied Sir M Visveswaraya extensively, explained Visveswaraya's life story in a very clear manner in his elegant speech. He called for the simplicity, sharp intellect, concern for work, discipline and punctuality of Sir M Visvesvaraya to be implemented in our lives. His 25-minute-long speech left everyone speechless.

   Dr Rajeev Gowda, former Rajya Sabha MP, spoke and said that awards are important milestones in our lives. They help everyone to walk responsibly and wish them to adopt the lifestyle of Sir M Visvesvaraya and reach higher positions.

 Another chief guest, Dr Anjanappa, spoke and said that if we want to achieve, we need to have a goal in life, and we should not get discouraged, no matter what difficulties we face, and we should reach our goal. He also spoke about the importance of health and self-confidence.

 Professor. Narasimha Nakshatri, in his speech, shared his experiences in the field of cooperation in detail. He explained about his association with the White Revolution Man of India, Dr Verghese Kurian and wished all the awardees.

 Shri Danappa, President of Peenya Industries Association, spoke about how small-scale industries play an important role in the country's economy.

 The highlight of the program was the speech of Mrs Ambika Mani, Software Entrepreneur, JDS Party Leader, who participated as the female chief guest. She expressed her appreciation for the award-winning program organised by Icons of Indian Business Magazine and wished our IIB team well, and promised to help organise a big program in the future.

 Shri Dr Nataraj Shetty, a senior doctor at the state's prestigious cardiology institute, Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology, Bangalore, studied hard in Anaganavadi and completed his education at a government school in Huliyur Durga and is today a renowned cardiologist. In his speech, he spoke about the importance of education and how hard work is in life.

An ordinary boy from a village, who is now a renowned cardiologist in the country, shared information about fellowships from various countries and said that all this is possible with hard work. He expressed concern about the increasing number of heart-related diseases among young people in recent times. He convinced everyone that if they want peace in life, they should pay more attention to their health.
