Dr Punyavathi is an angelic soul born to a scholarly soul, Mr V. Channanarasimhaiah, a praised teacher and President awardee, and the primary source of motivation and inspiration for his daughter. Mrs Boramma, loving mother of Dr Punyavathi imbibed moral values into her daughter from childhood. Married to Dr Nagaraj B Puttaswamy, Dr Punyavathi’s family is complete with three children, Samastha, Sakala, and Sampoorna.

 

Dr. Punyavathi being the brightest candidate of the lot completed her basic education in Bangalore and her quest for serving mankind made her choose Medicine and then went to Kempegowda Institute of Medical Sciences, Bangalore for her MBBS, KMC No 36177, followed by a Master's Degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Rajive Gandhi University, Bangalore and Diploma in Minimal Access Laparoscopic Surgery from one of the world’s most prestigious Universities of Kiel in Germany.

 

Dr. Punyavathi’s endless interest in learning made her participate in multiple specialised training programs in Gynaec Oncology, Infertility Management, IVF, and conduct live workshops and demonstrations in Total Laparoscopic Hysterectomy at Kiel University, Germany.

 

Dr. Punyavathi is the spine of M/s. Punya Multispecialty Hospital is patient-centric with a state-of-the-art infrastructure. M/s. Having a mindset of social service from childhood Dr. Punyavathi has conducted various free health camps in rural parts of Karnataka regarding Screening for Women related Cancer, Cervical Cancer Screening, Pregnancy, Infertility, General Gynaec, Antenatal Care Awareness programs, Mothers and Child Care, Awareness about breastfeeding and hygiene of nursing mothers, Newborn care programs. She also did Educative health talks in various schools and colleges. She also runs a FREE OPD once a month and conducts free Laparoscopic surgeries to help people from underprivileged sections, making her more popular. Many awards and recognitions came in search of Dr Punyavathi, to state few
