Dr. Jacob Crasta, a visionary behind CME Equipment & Instruments (India) Pvt. Ltd is a leading manufacturer of Testing and Simulator Chambers in India. The path and the oath of Dr. Jacob Crasta make this company reliable and emerge as a global competitor.

Dr. Jacob was born in a remote area called Kinnigoly near Mangalore in 1952. Even though Father was in the army their main occupation was agriculture. Amidst poverty, his mother depends on agricultural income to meet the family needs and to bear the fees of five children. After college, he then came to Bangalore in search of a job which fetched him a lecturer post. Limited hours of working made him to think differently.

The zeal to find out something new made him join a Lab Tool Manufacturing company in Mumbai for just 500/- rupee compared to 1400/- in Bangalore. Within two years a Marketing and Salesperson Mr. Jacob got promoted as South India Sales in-charge and got transferred back to Bangalore in 1981. Seeing his enthusiasm company offered him a partnership and agreed to start an independent manufacturing unit in Bangalore.

Pokhran testing by India led other countries to restrict their supply of Testing and Simulator Chambers to India. This resulted in losing our brave soldiers in the Kargil War reason being a failure in telecommunication equipment that was not tested in chambers.

This incident made Dr. Jacob think and manufacture reliable and innovative tools to contribute to the Indian Army. The Fruit of Thought is an indigenous company CME. Opened in 2008 CME is now a single tender supplier to DRDO and competing with global manufacturers and have clients in other countries too amidst intense competition.

Dr. Jacob’s hard work, vision, no compromise in nature makes a 100 crore turnover company plan 500 cr turnover in the next 3 years. Army, DRDO, Automobile Industry, Military, Space, and Electronic Component Industry are the main in the client list of the CME.

Adding a feather to the cap Dr. Jacob set up Lsquare Eco Product Pvt Ltd which uses honeycomb design n technology for its packaging products.

Even pandemics won’t stop visionaries like Dr. Jacob who now planning to help people who are doing the work-from-home jobs by designing suitable furniture.
