The desired millions of people are Boat. It is the 5th largest Indian wearable brand wireless electronic products which are highly trusted brand that is acknowledged all over the world. Boat products are known for their shining, trendy and sophisticated look. The quality and innovative designs make them a superior product.

The boat was started in the year 2015 by Aman Gupta and Sameer Mehta. Its headquarters is located in New Delhi. Gupta was heading the director of sales at Harman International before starting boat and Mehta is the director of Kores India, a family-owned business. The boat is the supreme producer of earphones, headphone stereos, travel chargers, and premium rugged cables. The legally registered name of Boat is “Imagine Marketing Services Private Limited” which was incorporated in the year 2013.

Wireless headphones- It does not connect to an audio device through a wired cable instead it ensures Bluetooth connectivity with the audio source such as a computer, mobile phone, or music system. It produces both on-ear and over-ear headphones. The headphones are marketed under the names Boat, Nirvana, and Rockerz.

Wired headphones and earbuds can be connected to mobile devices, computers,s and audio-outputting devices. Their over-ear, on-ear and in-ear earbuds are avoided external noise to the wearer’s ear canals. Boat markets its headphones and earbuds under the company’s BassHeads brand.

Wireless earbuds have built-in batteries to charge the wireless earbuds. They allow Bluetooth connectivity to the wireless earbuds. These earbuds are marketed under the brand name Air dopes.

Tethered wireless earbuds do not connect directly to a mobile phone, computer, or audio system. They are connected to one another through a wire. The model is worn behind the head or around the neck. Tethered wireless earbuds are marketed under its Rockers and Boat brands.

Smartwatches offer many features from monitoring calls, texts, health monitoring, and social media notifications.

Home audio equipment consists of soundbars and subwoofers for use with televisions and other home theater equipment. The home audio equipment is sold under its Avante brand.

Marketing and Investors

The promotion of boat products is done by Bollywood stars such as Hardik Pandya, KL Rahul, Jacquline Fernandez, and Neha Kakkar. They are the brand ambassadors of Boat products in India. Boat sells its products through the eCommerce websites such as Flipkart and Amazon. Through the offline stores, it distributes its products through Croma. Some of the investors of Boat include Qualcomm Ventures, Warburg Pincus, and Fireside Ventures.

Boat products are designed in India and manufactured in China through contract manufacturing. Because China had better manufacturing facilities when compared to India and it is the main cause that consumers get boat products at a reasonable price. The boat got affected a lot during the Pandemic because China announced lockdown in the first half and India in the second half. Due to this boat stopped receiving shipments from China.

Slowly in 2021 Boat started getting shipments from China. Boat products are in high demand among youngsters in India.
