With over two decades of experience under his belt, Saptharishi is a distinguished Associate Director in Process & Technology at Meinhardt EPCM (I) Pvt Ltd, making waves with his innovative contributions to diverse sectors, including mineral processing, iron ore pellet plants, and animal/cattle feed units.

 

Education & Expertise

Saptharishi's journey to becoming a trailblazing engineer began with a strong foundation in chemical engineering. Armed with an M.Tech in Plant Design from NIT, Tiruchirapalli, and a B.Tech from Bharathidasan University, he further fortified his skills with a Post Graduate Diploma in Management from IGNOU in 2008.

What sets Saptharishi apart is his special competency in process development and optimization of mineral processing plants. He excels in modeling and simulating ore beneficiation plants, designing and engineering technological aspects of mineral processing units, and creating detailed process flow diagrams, P&IDs, and mass-water balances for iron ore beneficiation plants. His expertise extends to EPC project management, project contract and procurement management, and even supporting corporate legal teams in handling dispute resolutions and arbitration claims.

Professional Journey

Saptharishi's illustrious career began at Hindustan Zinc Ltd/Vedanta Group, where he honed his skills from June 2004 to October 2007. His dedication and expertise led him to Essar Engineering Services from November 2007 to May 2012. From May 2012 to March 2022, he contributed significantly to Shriram EPC Ltd. Currently, he continues his journey of excellence at Meinhardt EPCM (I) Pvt Ltd, starting from April 2022 and extending to the present day.

Projects that Define Excellence

Throughout his career, Saptharishi has been instrumental in spearheading several remarkable projects, showcasing his prowess in industrial process optimization and project management.

Some of his standout projects include:

1.  Iron Ore Feed Processing System for Patented Technology: Saptharishi played a crucial role in developing an iron ore feed processing system for technology. His contributions included technology selection, coordinating with various OEMs, developing flowsheets, finalizing layouts, and guiding the engineering team.

2. 14,000 MT/Month Animal Feed Plant: In this project, Saptharishi provided technical coordination for the entire system as a design manager. He interfaced with technology suppliers, developed plant layouts.

3.    500TPD Animal Feed Manufacturing Plant: As a project manager, Saptharishi oversaw the execution of a 500TPD cattle feed plant on an EPC basis. His responsibilities spanned project contract management, cost estimation, procurement management, construction coordination, and commissioning support.

4.   Design & Engineering - 2x4 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant: In this project, Saptharishi's expertise shone in interpreting lab test reports, selecting technology, developing process flow diagrams, calculating mass and water balances, evaluating vendor offers, and coordinating interdisciplinary teams.

5.    Bankable Techno-Economic Feasibility Report - 3x4 MTPA Iron Ore Beneficiation Plant, 12 MTPA Slurry Pipeline, 2x6 MTPA Iron Ore Pellet Plant: Saptharishi's role in this project encompassed cross-functional coordination, drafting technical content, and ensuring the report's compliance with lenders' engineer standards.

6.  Design & Engineering - 7 MTPA Iron Ore Concentration Plant: In this endeavor, Saptharishi interfaced with technology suppliers, coordinated interdisciplinary teams, and contributed to designing basis documents.

7.  Lead-Zinc Beneficiation Plant & Non-Ferrous Units: Saptharishi's contributions ranged from developing simulation models for grinding-classification circuits to optimizing processes for silver concentrate production and selenium recovery. His expertise led to innovations in mineral beneficiation technology.
