Kritika Kumaran, who has a turnover of 29 crores by making soaps at home

Kritika Kumaran, a native of Coimbatore, invests only 8000 to 10000 rupees and starts making soap at home. Later, she converted this into a big business and made great achievements. she embarked on a relentless quest to find a cure for his daughter's skin problem. Finally producing their own natural, organic and sustainable personal care products under the brand name Vilva.

Kritika completed her schooling from Sri Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Coimbatore and Graduated in Btech from Kumara Guru College of Technology.

At the age of 21, she married to Tamil Kumaran and became a housewife. When her daughter developed a skin problem called Eczema when she was 2 years old, she tried various organic soaps and shampoos to come out of skin problem but nothing helped. Then she started making soap at home using natural ingredients. In the beginning, she gained knowledge by watching YouTube channels and also obtained a Diploma in Cosmetology.

Vilva, which started in Kritikara's kitchen, has now manufacturing 70 types of skin care and hair care products and brought them to the market. The vastly growing e-commerce market is an advantage for them to attract customers.

Soaps are made using goat milk, olive oil, and castor oil. As the demand for natural products made by her increased, she expanded the market in big E-commerce companies like Amazon, Flipkart, and Nyka. Vilva, which started with a space of only 1000 square feet, has grown into a Private Ltd company and has an annual turnover of 27 crore rupees. Vilva means the leaf used to worship Lord Shiva. Now Vilva is manufacturing about 70 types of hair and skin care products. They get about 50% of orders from their website and the rest orders from the online market.

Kritika Kumaran proves that if we have determination, drive, hard work and a little luck, we can achieve the impossible.
