“One Person can make a difference, and everyone should try”, is a quote stated by the charming and ambitious former United States president, Late. John Fitzgerald Kennedy. This applies in everyday life and every situation, from unfortunate mishaps to natural disasters. However, even today, the global poverty rate has increased by 0.2 percentage points to 46.9 percent, which is one of the worst mishaps in the history of humankind. There are people with good intentions; however, their inactivity is what is causing more harm to the poor and needy, as this deprives them of their basic facilities. Hence, NGOs and charity organizations are striving to fulfill their goals of ending world poverty and hunger.
Nadeem Pasha is one such individual with a mind and heart of gold. He was born in 1985 and brought up in Nagamangala of Mandya District, Karnataka. His father, Kaleem Pasha, wanted him to pursue his education in a madrasa, which made Nadeem drop out of school in 5th standard. After studying Islam and The Quran for some time, Nadeem desired to have a steady source of income and began to pursue a career in electrical equipment and other related stuff. He began to lean more towards social service at the same time.
Nadeem Pasha joined the All India Human Rights Organization (AIHRO), a reputed group that aims to ensure every child attains the right to survival, protection, and development towards a bright future. He became a head in 2014/15, overseeing the activities in Mandya Taluk’s branch. His extreme dedication and excellent efficiency saw him travel to various places and he developed contacts with numerous like-minded individuals. Nadeem Pasha had plans to name his organization ‘Public Development Anti-Corruption‘, but that was already taken, and hence it was named ‘PDNA Anti-Corruption Organization’.
PDNA Anti Corruption Organization has tirelessly served the poor and needy during the pandemic, providing over 150 people with food packets and kits. Nadeem Pasha has personally visited hospitals with his crew to distribute fruits and other essentials to the sick and disabled. It has also overlooked and ensured the free and thorough distribution of labour and health cards while providing free tailor training programs for women unable to achieve their goals due to financial and other barriers. It has also contributed massively towards the construction of government schools and has provided necessary material to the students.
PDNA Anti Corruption Organization hosted a grand program on Press Day in Kodagu, where editors and reporters of Aarakshaka News were felicitated in front of its chief guest, Salumarada Thimmakka, a Padmashree recipient. The program was organized to recognize and reward the efforts of lifeguards, doctors, teachers, civil servants, and others who have worked tirelessly and with extreme dedication toward easing the public’s lives during the pandemic.
Nadeem Pasha credits Ayub Khan, PDNA Anti Corruption Organization’s National Secretary, as the key inspirational father figure in his life, as Nadeem would play and stay regularly in his house. Nadeem has recently acquired a plot of land from the government to build an orphanage, with plans to house 100 orphans initially. His plan with the organization is to expand the orphanage, house more kids, and provide them with the necessary education and other basic facilities. We at Icons of Indian Business wish Nadeem Pasha and his organization the best in their future endeavours, and hope they always attain success and stay at the top with consistency, hard work, and determination.
