People often seek out better opportunities that could provide them with sufficient income to easily afford and maintain a stable and secure lifestyle. The other side will however show that there are people willing to leave a stable job for life satisfaction, by taking on a path as they desire. Often, that path can be entrepreneurship, music, art, or any other path that offers little to no security. Yet, when that goal is achieved, the pursuer attains eternal peace and satisfaction.

Paul Antony Raj E is one such eminent personality. Born in Chennai in 1977, he did his schooling and achieved his diploma in civil engineering there.  2002 was the year he would arrive at Bangalore and permanently settle.

Though Paul Antony had a job that paid reasonably well, he found little to no satisfaction with his future in the company, and he decided to carve his own path. After studying and grasping the ins and outs of interior design and construction, he started out as a freelancer in 2003-04 with a small office in HSR Layout. He began to work individually for real estate agencies but soon realized that he wanted to be a professional civil contractor for renovations. During this period, he worked for companies such as LivSpace, The Karighars, and Bonito as a collaborating vendor, as he didn’t want to directly approach the customer. Along with interiors, Paul Antony and his team would also execute civil works, such as bathroom renovation, tile changing, and granite replacement.  This enabled him to gain enough experience along with his team. Then they established Touchwood in 2018 and have been providing Bangaloreans with services in Bangalore since then.

Touchwood started initially with doing interiors, where it would be the modification of kitchens. Soon they began to put more emphasis on the civil part, like bathroom renovations. Paul Antony emphasizes having the appropriate team, as others tend to do shabby work- this tends to be a problem for major companies involved in interior business, which served as one of the key reasons that inspired Paul Antony Raj E to start Touchwood.

Touchwood has successfully done numerous insulations for over a decade. With its mission of bringing out the uniqueness of each space, it utilizes its customer-focused approach by noting their preferences and adding its touch to let the space express itself in the most vibrant manner. They have also provided services on behalf of other companies. In addition, they ensure the building’s safety with safety measures such as waterproofing, with their expertise in delivering a range of services for numerous projects from residential to power bulk excavations and roadways.

Touchwood was barely affected by COVID-19, as they remained in-house for only a month, with its employees receiving regular salaries. This extreme dedication along with the team’s experience has enhanced its success with over 500 projects, keeping over 600 of its clientele satisfied with perfection. Driven by its single-minded pursuit of perfection, Paul Antony resolves to establish numerous branches around Karnataka with the aim of providing excellent service.
