Theodore von Kármán, the former Hungarian-American mathematician once stated, “Scientists study the world as it is, engineers create the world that never has been,” and it has remained true since then. The Industrial Revolution has advanced our society to levels never witnessed before, and today, technology has integrated itself into our lives to the point it has become indispensable. Each action undertaken utilizes some form of technology, from basic household chores to industries like agriculture and pharmaceuticals running on the technological advancements created by visionaries.

Prakash G from Bangalore is an enterprising individual with the work ethic of a hard-working blue-collared individual. Post-graduation with a diploma, he worked under a few private companies, proving his excellent skills and contributing towards the growth of those places. Soon, a stroke of inspiration and courage struck him as, in 2006; he established PHOENIX DIGI-TECH, an import and export business of large format solvent-based flex printing machines, routers, CNC cutting and engraving machines, and other heavy equipment.

PHOENIX DIGI-TECH would import the necessary equipment from China and Taiwan and would sell it throughout India with great success under Prakash’s excellent ideas and business acumen, which would later land him a successful deal with Jindal Aluminium Limited in 2011. This deal would push and promote PHOENIX DIGI-TECH’s seamless transition from merely the suppliers in the imp-expo business to becoming a manufacturer. However, Prakash initially joined Jindal Aluminium Limited as a production head, as he could gain the required experience to set up his manufacturing unit. Next, he jumped to Rajkot Engineering and gained experience with plastic-processing machinery for over five years.

2017 witnessed Prakash G armed with all-rounded experience and high knowledge establish S N Industries, a company that manufactures all kinds of plastic and bio-plastic machinery. The initial days saw S N Industries face stiff competition and manufacturing products regularly would not put it in the spotlight easily. They found an innovative solution by introducing machines like conveyor belts and packaging machines, which reduced labour dependency and cost, and also increased the speed and efficiency of the manufacturing process. S N Industries has also garnered the reputation of being the introducer of kinds of plastic converting machinery in the Indian market.

The focus of S N Industries then shifted to agriculture, as they initiated the manufacturing of machinery that produced agricultural polymers, and soon expanded its base to the medical field, as it also produced medical-related equipment. A key factor that plays an important role in the continual growth of S N Industries is the affordable pricing as when compared to Gujarat, the prominent hub, it provides better offers. S N Industries constantly updates and upgrades its technology from time to time, which provides the right push to stay ahead of its competitors. Prakash’s vision and guidance have also contributed immensely towards the growth in the manufacturing process, as during 2021-2022, S N Industries successfully sold over 60 machines.

Prakash focuses on customer satisfaction and places it as the top priority, and it offers affordable pricing with the preference of selling five units with a 10% profit margin each over selling one unit with a 50% profit margin. This intriguing and bold concept has resulted in S N Industries building a solid clientele base, with imports to countries such as UAE, Oman, Nigeria, Qatar, Kenya, Sri Lanka, Myanmar, and the Philippines since 2019. It has sold over 150 machines in India alone, even selling it to major clients in Gujarat.

Reducing India’s dependency on other countries while employing Indians has been a goal for Prakash G, under whom S N Industries is currently focusing on increasing its exports. It is slowly and steadily contributing towards establishing India’s overall reputation as a reliable exporter of machinery and other engineering-related products with the likes of Germany, the U.S.A., Japan, and other developed countries.
