YG Nagaraj, founder of Yes Pee engineering has a colossal experience of more than 30 years in the production of engineering products as well as marketing in numerous engineering companies in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu which was significant for the success of his company for which he never did any marketing, owing to his identity built in the industry.

Y.G. Nagaraj was born in Nagamangala, Madya in a middle-class family. He moved to Chennai with his family where he completed his school education and later relocated to Bagalkot to study Diploma in mechanical engineering. He started his career as a marketing executive at a company called Kanchan engineering works where he was greatly appreciated for onboarding one of the best companies in the country such as Kirloskar. Over the years, Y.G. Nagaraj worked as a mechanical engineer for many other companies such as Vijaylakshmi Industries, a Chennai-based radiator manufacturing company, Polygon Instrumentation & AIDS Pvt Ltd, and Smith & Hammers.
