Bengaluru, 17 May 2024: In line with a focus on transforming rural youth into world-class competitive technicians, Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) today announced the admission process for the year 2024, for both its TTTI Regular Program, as well as Toyota Kaushalya Program. These initiatives offer free training to academically inclined students hailing from economically disadvantaged backgrounds in Karnataka, thereby empowering them to pursue careers as proficient technicians.

The TTTI Regular Program offers holistic training through a three-year residential course, focused on skill, knowledge, and attitude development, alongside the recently introduced Toyota Kaushalya program, which follows a comprehensive two-year residential course designed to equip youth with skills crucial for the manufacturing industry, thereby boosting their employability. Through a 'Learn and Earn' model, participants engage in theoretical learning alongside On-the-Job Training (OJT). Under the guidance of seasoned supervisors serving as Master Trainers, trainees benefit from top-tier instruction tailored to industry norms. This ensures they receive high-quality training, fostering expertise aligned with industrial standards. Additionally, the program emphasizes holistic development, providing trainees with rigorous physical and mental conditioning alongside advanced skill and knowledge acquisition.

Mr. G. Shankara - Executive Vice President, Finance and Administration, Toyota Kirloskar Motor, “As we open the doors for admissions to the Toyota Technical Training Institute (TTTI) for the year 2024, we reaffirm our commitment to transforming rural youth into world-class competitive technicians and ‘Producing Mass Happiness for All’. Through our TTTI Regular Program and the Toyota Kaushalya Program, we focus on developing their knowledge, skills, and attitude, thereby nurturing them from a 360-degree perspective. As a result, our graduates have fared well within India as well internationally including Japan and Middle East countries. Since its inception in 2007, TTTI has successfully graduated more than 900 students. We are proud that TTTI graduates have achieved commendable feats at prestigious competitions such as the National Skill Contest and World Skills Contest, thereby bringing pride to the nation. We are proud to contribute to the “Skill India” Mission and look forward to welcoming the next generation of skilled professionals into the Toyota family.”

TTTI also recently doubled its intake from 600 to 1200 students which includes up to 600 female students, with a steadfast focus on enhancing gender diversity as a pivotal component of its expansion.

Further to promote skilling, TTTI has been selected as one of the institutes under the Japan India Institute for Manufacturing [JIM] skill transfer promotion program, aimed at inculcating Japanese-style manufacturing skills and practices, thereby contributing to ‘Skill India’ Mission of the Government of India.
