Unique story of a Musician-Jeweller-Educationist

Mr. Ramkiran K S/o  Jeweller K Hari and musician K Sunitha had developed a passion for Veena playing from his childhood, along with the teaching of Veena, his parents had inspired him to visit many places in order to understand life in a better manner. Having done primary education in Bellary, he later shifted to Mysore to study BBM and also learn Veena from Guru R K Padmanabhan.   After graduation, he joined Siddaganga Institute of Technology and management to pursue his MBA.

After his post-graduation he joined a company called Vishranthi dharma as Project manager, but after a few years Shifted back to Bellary to help his father in his Jewellery business. With his management degree and knowledge, he had acquired expanded his father’s Jewellery shop and made it one of the top 10 jewelers of Bellary. He had the skill of knowing the requirements of customers and delivering the jewelry to their taste with purity in gold and creativity, this helped him to become a very successful Jeweller.

Venturing into the Education field:  Mr. Ramkiran always had a passion for teaching and loved giving presentations at seminars and conferences. His passion for teaching made him think about the shortfalls in the education scenario in Bellary. Students of Bellary had to come to Bangalore and other cities to pursue their higher education, he wanted to build a very good and sophisticated college in Bellary which would cater to the needs of the local students and so in the land provided by Sri Ramesh of Veerabhadreshwara education trust, he started a pre-university and degree college in Bellary in the name of his daughter i.e Sri Medha degree college in the year 2015 with 200 students.

Owing to its principles and quality education it soon became popular among the locals and grew to become one of the top colleges in Bellary. In this college, importance is given to the all-around development of the students and the awards they have won and displayed in the college are a testimony of the success of the student of this college. The college is offering PUC in Science and Commerce stream, and UG courses in BBA, Bcom, BCA with a reasonable fee structure and quality education. Its value-based education has not only helped students to become but also has created many entrepreneurs. The college has a project management team that helps, guides, and motivates upcoming budding Entrepreneurs, and a financial institution helps them in realizing their dreams as well. In fact, Mr. Ramkiran is proud of the achievement of one of the students, who has created, an online shopping portal for the people of Bellary when he was in his last year of graduation, which in itself speaks for the achievement of the college. Mr. Ramkiran has high dreams of expanding this college and also venturing into other cities as well. in fact they have achieved their aim of developing the students into people with strong characters and the ones who know to apple and utilize their knowledge for the advantage of mankind.

From getting paid Rs 15,000 in a company in Bangalore to owning 10 jewelry shops and being a successful one of the top colleges in Bellary, Mr. Ram Kiran has come a long way in realizing his dream of doing something for the betterment of society. In all these busy schedules of life he has not left his music passion behind, and in fact, has given many concerts and has performed 3 times in Hampi Utsav and he along with his mother who is his childhood guru and his elder daughter who is also a musician have played together in a concert which he remembers very fondly. His hard work and dedication have helped him a lot in achieving success and the zeal to work for the betterment of society motivates him to achieve more.
